HK LEM Trigger.. How does it shoot?

I handled a P200SK recently at Sportsman's Warehouse and it had the LEM trigger on it. I really liked the pull and the way it felt over all but that doesn't mean it will transfer to to paper well. Has anyone here shot with an LEM trigger. Want to know if it is worth the switch and how difficult it was to install!

PS: It would be for my USP 9

Everyone loves the LEM, it takes some effort to install (and the cocking lever is out of stock).
Shop the largest selection of factory and aftermarket Heckler and Koch parts, upgrades, and accessories for MP5, SP5, VP9, P30, HK416, MR556, G3, and more. HK Parts is your one-stop source for HK magazines, handguards, triggers, stocks, barrels, bolts, and complete parts kits.

Over on HK PRO there is a tutorial for installation by toosixy very helpful.
LEM is a great trigger option.

I have a p2000 v3 and converted to LEM light (v2?). I love it, no complaints on my end. Although my p2000sk I left in v3 configuration for other reasons.

I recommend the Grey Guns Short Reset System. It really makes that LEM what it should have been.

I've converted 3 HKs to V4, and it's all reversible. So don't hesitate to try it.

LEM is awesome. Double action when you want it, crisp single action when you ride the reset. Extremely versatile trigger. LEM hybrid for a USP if you want to add icing on your cake.

... like a dream. One of my favorite triggers

Seems popular. Can some one please explain how is the LEM different than non LEM? Is it heavy, light, mushy, long, poundage??

6+ pounds, ridiculously long pull, ridiculously long reset.

I've had 3 HK's with LEM, they are great.

Whether it's LEM, DA/SA, Single Action only, Double Action only or Striker or (insert your trigger here) at the end of the day, it boils down to how much practice you have on the firearm and the trigger.

That's really all there is to it. I suggest don't over think the matter, odds are one would end up thinking too much about what kind of trigger versus actually shooting.

It can be both heavy or light depending on the version, it has a long take up but a short second stage. The factory long reset was a problem, I posted the fix earlier.

                    I have 3.5lb and 4lb ones.

                      Yeah, not quite.

The standard LEM is about a 7.5-8# pull. The light LEM is about 4.5#. The length of the initial pull and reset are the same, only the weight of the pull differs.

The initial pull is long. Intentionally long. That long pull is by design. My HK's don't have or need external safety levers because of that long trigger pull. Used as a CCW firearm, when considering the likelihood of a huge adrenaline dump, I'm perfectly happy with that long initial pull. At the range and in tactical training, that long pull is no problem whatsoever.

That long reset... isn't that long. And certainly no problem in doing multiple tightly grouped rapid-fire shots at 5-10 yards. The light LEM is a clean, light, crisp trigger. When Bruce Gray commented on mine a few years back, he said he wouldn't do anything to it, that it was very nice as it is.

I also have a TRP 1911 .45ACP. Compared to my HK USPf .45 with the light LEM trigger, the TRP is a very good pistol. In a hypothetical firefight, I would still reach for my USP first.

A bit strange at first. Groups were larger than usual.
Then I got used to it, and love it. Specifically, the light LEM.
My wife shot it better than anything else right out of the gate.

Why not just buy your HK with the LEM trigger.
Bought a P2000 LEM v2 and replaced the hammer spring.
