    Help with CGW Build

Trying to get into a little custom work on my SP01 but don't want to do the whole package yet. From what I gathered these pieces I selected would be a nice little upgrade but I'd like someone else's opinion before I check out my cart.

At some point this gun would be used as a competition gun but for now its a range plinker with the only competition being my brothers. I handload 124gr pills and not looking to ever shoot +++p loads. Hopefully this is enough info for a solid opinion from those who are about that CZ life.

That's a lot of work for little return. Why don't you just get the Pro Package?

Is the "G10 Single Action Only Trigger" item the only thing i need for the conversion? Seems worth for $39

Because thats close to $450.... how much more return can I get from what I've selected? I'm now on board with the SAO trigger so I'm at about $180.

Pro package is only about $255 unless you are sending it in *best for resale value. SAO is definitely a must for comp. I personally still like the decocker so I compromise.

The only thing I wouldn't do is the fiber sights. I went with TFX PROs for actually a couple of bucks less than the fiber ones (but I think the rebate is over).

are you familiar with this site:

I think you'll find it helpful

Cant find any pro package for $255, are you referring to the IDPA production kit with an added SAO trigger?

My mistake I didn't see you had the SP01. Go SAO or get the parts leading up to that. I did that with an HK bought things overtime, made the sticker shock less violent.

This is the Pro Package: https://cajungunworks.com/product/75...manual-safety/

I had it put it in (by a local gunsmith) my SP-01 and it shoots great!

I was trying to figure out what the heck CJW was before clicking this thread (Cajun Gun Works).

Just send it to Dave, go fully custom, and get it refinished while you're at it!

I'm considering a Tac Sport just to get cajunized.

I recommend emailing CGW. They respond quickly and will tell you exactly what you need to complete your build.

You may be disappointed with the parts you ordered. Trigger pull will be lighter, yes. But stock CZ hammers have an incredible amount of sear creep. To me, the creep was practically like shooting a striker fired pistol.

I was not satisfied until I added a CGW race hammer with adjustable sear. Factory sear will work but will require stoning for the safety to work.

If you do go with a new hammer, I suggest also getting a new stock hammer strut and disconnector, so you don't have to remove them from the old hammer.

And while you're at it, add the floating trigger pin and reduced power trigger return spring.

Also, with the parts you ordered or will order, might as well have gotten the SRS kit.
