Crimson Trace for P229?

I'm considering getting CT grips for my P229 but I've read some complaints that the laser sits kind of low and the trigger finger usually blocks the laser. Have anyone had experience with CT grips on a P229? Would you recommend it?

I have one and it works great. I guess you can get your trigger finger in the way of the laser if you have a habit of resting your finger on the frame. If you are a lefty, it will never be a problem. I like it better than a rail mounted one. It doesn't add much weight and no additional bulk. Mine has the side mounted on/off button. You should look for a center mounted one. I have not tried it yet, but the side mounted button with a holstered gun, can accidentally turn on the laser when you press against it.

I love the CT concept, but on my 229 it was too much of an increase in grip size for me to continue to enjoy using. I did not like it.

I have CT grips on both of my 229's. If you rest your finger on the frame, it will block the beam. Personally, if I'm activating the laser on a target, I intend to have my finger on the trigger. While I hope and pray that the dot works effectively as a visual deterrent, I'm not going to bet my life or my family's lives on it and waste even a fraction of a second getting my finger in position to fire. I think they're great grips. They hold their zero better than any previous laser I've had and they're quite comfortable for shooting lots of rounds/day.
