Colt Price Check

I have the chance to buy a ALL ORIGINAL BNIB/Never Fired 1989 4” Colt Python in Bright Stainless Steel w/ rubber grips. Box condition is 7.5-8/10 and includes all original contents. I need help pricing the firearm. Anyone have an idea?

I have 3 Python’s but sold my regular Stainless one that was made in the 80’s and kept both my blued ones. The trigger on the earlier ones are much smoother and lighter. I do like the high polished stainless though and those might be harder to come by but I still feel the price range of $3-$3.5k is what is the going rate. I am not an expert by any means.

If there isn't a Law prohibiting Colt Pythons in stainless steel well, then there should be one.

1978 is the absolute manufacture year I'd buy in Colt or S&W. After Inspector Calahan walked into the theaters you couldn't give a 4 inch revolver away. And as for the uninitiated...when you hold a blue Colt in one hand and a nickel plated one in the other hand, the decision isn't as easy as it appears.

Your link to a 4” BSTS Python has NON original front and rear sites. Also
how is that gun coming into CA from Alabama? If you buy a BSTS Colt
anything try to get it with a box to document it’s originality because there
are a lot of aftermarket high polish jobs that are not as good as originals.

As mentioned the gun is completely original. The gun is already in California. Any recommendation for price?
