                      yeah i receive my guard card the same day. so i used it as 2nd proof of residence. i think i was meant to get the glock 19

                            To answer your question seriously, both rounds are adequate for self defense purposes.

                            HOWEVER, I personally think.40 is better than 9mm. In general: 10mm>.45>.40>9mm. IMO

                            NOTE, I only like .40 in a fullsize pistol like a Glock 22. I like 9mm in a compact or subcompact size like a Glock 19.

                            I think .40 really shines in a fullsize pistol because there is more to hold on to and it can be a little too snappy in a compact.

                            Of course, YMMV.
