    'Defender' Springfield XD9

I saw a Ca FFL post a picture on Facebook today of the new 'Defender' Springfield XD9. It's a no frills package, it just comes with the gun, one mag and a plain cardboard box. But, the MSRP is only $339. I've never been a huge Springfield XD fan, but may have to get one at this price, since you'll most likely be able to get one for under $300 plus tax and DROS. Palmetto Armory is currently selling them for $279.

According to RifleGear, the Defender is off roster.

Most likely off roster because of the 16rd mag. If they come out with a 10rd version I'm sure it'll be fine.

I like XD better than Glock in service and tactical size.

          XD 9

Not sure if it's the thrill of owning the XD with a different name.....

It's pretty much the same gun that lots of folks are trying to re-sell in the Market Place here and at Turners. I'm sure you could end up paying almost the same and with more magazines and after market goodies that a stock one!

It is not on the roster, different SKU than the CA model that's on the roster.

It would also be nice if someone wanted to pick up another XD9 as either a backup or for the wife etc.
