Looking at the beretta px4 .9mm

Going to be used for home protection.

Any comments on the weapon, good and bad,

Also how is the accuracy at 10 to 15 yards

I don’t own it yet but the wifey loved it & it shot pretty well. Had the opportunity to shoot it in 40. and felt great, I little “futuristic” looking for my taste but pretty comfortable and no issues whatsoever. Agree “Used” is the way to go

Type C: So-called to be Single-action-only ("Constant Action" - hammer is in half-cocked position). Spurless hammer. No decocker. No safety.

Type F: Single and double-action. Decocker. Manual safety.

I never fell in love with my PX4. So I sold it to a friend who loves it.

In all fairness, its a great gun, especially for the price. Very underrated. It feels good in hand, has a decent trigger, and has been perfect over the course of about 2500 rounds (i still shoot it with him). The only FTF wasn't the gun's fault. Perfecta ammo, the round had a defective case.

It wasn't for me, but its a great gun. I'd have no problem with it at my bedside.

Love my px4, as DDM4 said..it’s an underrated pistol. I changed out my front sight to Truglo TFX and converted to decocker only. Only gripe would be the safety/decocker lever. Those are pointy and stick out but I guess you can use those as leverage for racking the slide. They make low profile ones which I highly recommend or you can be cheap like me and file them down and refinish it yourself. Those are all optional changes, but a great gun out of the box.

PX4 is a great HD/range gun. I do not like it for CCW. You will be happy if you get one.

And you paid tax. Buying used you can score a gun with low miles, pay no tax and pay $400.00. Less if you're lucky.
