Glock 43x and Glock 48 first impression

Here is my first impression on G43X and Glock 48. They are both Glock , which means they functioned 100% with my duty ammo and 115 Federal AE, both were accurate out to 25 yards. People with smaller hands will REALLY appreciate the grip size. I really like the look, feel and balance of G48. For me , neither gun will replace what I already carry . Gen5 G17 ( duty/off duty) , Gen5 G19 off duty and Gen3 G26 ( with grip reduction) and G43 for deep concealment and back up. The best way I can put it , is that G43x and G48 is something in the middle between G19 and G43. I will do some accuracy testing soon on both guns and will post the results. PS. As far as really small Glock in 9mm , my Gen3 G26 with grip reduction is still my top choice....

I got a chance to handle 43X and 48 this weekend. Some observations:

I did not hate the two tone as much as I thought I would. It is not shiny, more like bead blasted.
I really like the Gen 5 style melted slide
The 43X and 48 are the same guns, interchangeable slides.
      I would go 48 before 43X

      Still waiting for all black...

        I agree. I like G48 a lot.

43X seems no different to me then a 43 with a Taran Tactical plus 2 mag extension. Personally, I'd like to take the 48 for a test drive.

The question is... can these two new kids on the block...43x and 48 swap barrel, parts, and etc. It's more like the 48 barrel will fit the 43x slide? They both shared the same mags but the 42 and 43 can't shared the 43x and 48 mag even though they're slim single stack. Anyhow Due to the locking lugs on the mags, they're to high for the two old school boys.

I picked up a 43x for a great deal last week. Yesterday, I needed at least one more magazine so that I could play in an IDPA match so I picked up a 48. Then I figured, might as well break in the 48 while I was at it. I don't think I have ever been this excited to buy a Glock.

TBH, I really like the matte Silver finish. I would prefer some additional contrast, like some hard chromed levers or trigger or something. Both trigger pulls were measured to be around 5 1/2 lbs and the break and reset had a very positive feel to them.

I am debating on what sights, accessories such as lights or lasers, stippling, etc.

Nice pickups. I can't believe that people are selling the 10rd G43X/48 mags online (mostly Ebay) for $60 each.

However, that's supply & demand for you... until Glock starts mass producing more and has them readily available (same thing happened when the G43 first came out).

My sister just picked hers up. The mags are different. You can’t swap them like the older gens.
