MP Shield mag release froze

Anyone else have their mag release freeze up with the factory 8 round mag inserted? Could not release it, even after S.P.O.R.T. and ejecting all rounds. The mag. release is NOT one of the lube points in the manual, but it is now for me. Could have been a problem if I had to use this in self defense and tried to reload.

They are notorious for getting rust if carried a lot and sweat gets to it.

The mag release rusts or the magazine itself? I have the tyrdefense extended one hopefully won't have to worry about the issue.

Nope, never had this problem. Was this with the factory mag release?
