    That just figures...........

    I've been selected to pick up one of the CMP 1911's.

    My window is in 90 days I will get to actually purchase one.

    Also, I won a Glock pistol at a GSSF match, and put that order in already, but the going time left to expect it to show up is also another damn 90 days.

    There is a good chance they both overlap each other with that f-ing 30 day limit.

    Doesn't the CMP 1911 require a C&R/FFL03 to purchase? If so then you should be ok assuming you have said documents (exempt from 1 in 30).

      They are roster exempt from the age alone. Non elite select citizens can buy them.

      However, CMP does require membership for purchase, which includes
      1) being a US citizen
      2) being a member of a CMP affiliated club
      3) showing proof of participation in a shooting competition

      there are some other things but those are the big ones
