Finally got around putting my long slide double stack 10 mm together.
Fit the barrel, tweak the extractor, and fit the fps in place. Then to the function test, crap... round stuck at tilting angle. Broke it down, polish up the feed ramp, barrel throat, tweak extractor some more, reassemble, dummy round, click, same tilting FTF problem.
Now I am staring at this thing, wth is it really that off spec!!
Then
moment... load up the magazine with TWO rounds, then cycle. Slam, round goes in smooth...
I am using a 45 ACP mag. The follower does not provide sufficient "push up" for the last round, thus the round cannot slide into the breach. 2nd to last round has the last round there to provide the push, so it functions as expected.
So off to purchase new magazines with the correct follower. Doh!
