First Nighthawk I have ever really wanted...

This is the first pistol from Nighthawk Custom that I have ever really wanted to own, and I don't even shoot 9mm. The acquisition of this $4200 pistol would cause me to lay in a good stock of the Parabellum cartridge, though.

Sad to say, it's going to be a long time coming because the first high-dollar piece I wish to acquire is the Springfield Professional. Meanwhile, I console myself with two perfectly-good Springfield Armory 1911A1 Loaded pistols.

Dunno, RailScales is pretty well known in the AR community.
You can find the grips on eBay for $120, I really like the grips, have thought about getting them.

For the record, I don't own anything like it (other than some standard-fare, Government-sized 1911s), therefore it would be a highly unique firearm compared to the rest of my interesting-to-me, albeit pedestrian, collection of blued steel and walnut firearms.

This "look" typically isn't my bag, baby.

The linked story's author is Ed Head, among other things an instructor at Gunsite Academy, and an OG. While he may be proficient with MSRs as part of his work, he may not necessarily build them for fun as many folks seem to do.
