There are a few “no lock” j frame variants: a non-PC 442, a 642, the 640 pro, the 340pd(?)...

For some reason the 442 is offered in "lock" and "no lock" version. I've seen plenty of the "lock" version in CA stores but the "no lock" not so much. When I got mine it was ordered from a distributor and showed up in a few days.
