Grayguns HK USP Short Reset Trigger System

Got an email over the holiday from Grayguns for their short reset trigger kit for the USP, and picked it up. Came the other day, installed, felt pretty satisfied. The kit came with no instructions, but install itself was pretty straightforward, just replace the plate, push out the roll pin on the sear, and swap the firing pin block spring. At $100, I was pretty apprehensive, and maybe my highly scientific finger is drinking kool-aid, but I'd say it did a decent job of cutting the reset stroke down a little under half as far. I uploaded a video of a before/after install on my USP Elite, if anybody is interested in comparing or if they were on the fence.

    0:00 - 0:45 = before
    0:46 - 1:10 = after

Thanks for the upload, I’ve been thinking of getting one as well.

Any effect on the double action pull? I heard or read complaints of crunchiness on the Sig SRT system.

I wonder if Gray has a short reset for the LEM light trigger for my USP.

None that I noticed. I did a lot of dry firing, decocks and safety engages to ensure no hiccups. The plate itself that swaps in is smooth, but even if it weren't, there's really no surfaces you change that would effect trigger feel I think

Isn't that LEM light trigger a longer reset by design?

Lazy Wolf is able to significantly shorten the reset on the LEM. It just still has the pretravel slack.

                  OK, gotcha.

I've been tempted by the many positive forum comments on that light LEM trigger to have mine done.

If the Gray short reset in DA/SA that retains the decocking function removes pre travel slack then I may go that route. I did a hybrid LEM using the 5-6 detent plate to retain the safety for cocked and locked but it does remove the decocking function. It just has a long pre-travel slack before you reach the wall. It’s a matter of training to just release the trigger enough after the first shot and slide cycle to reset in anticipation for the next pull.

Out of stock now, join the waitlist.

I emailed them to ask if this works with the factory match trigger, and they said yes. So I will try one in my USP w/Match trigger.

the pretravel slack is cut down just under half. It's still there, but not as long as it was before. You can see where the wall/break is in the after-install part of my video, I pause for half a second or so on the first break just at the wall

yeah, sorry, forgot to mention they're out of stock. I think they went out of stock a few days after I got the email on Jan 1st
