Thoughts on Beretta Mini Cougar

Just purchased a Beretta Mini Cougar 8040 F .40 cal for $400. Pristine and less than 10 rounds down the tube.

Not really familiar with the particular model, I just know M9 and 92g which I both hated. M9 when I was in the Army, and 92G when I was a cop out of state.

Good Gun?
Good Buy?
Finicky?
Good Shooter?

One thing Ive noticed is it has a whole lot of sharp edges i.e Safety/De-cock and the damn bottom edge of the plastic grip, its sharp enough to cut you when the mags are out.

I have an 8040. It fits my hand so much better than the 92FS. It shoots great.

I am very happy with the Cougar.

I would really like to get the 8045, I like them that much.

i have the 8000, 8040, and 8045, as well as a few 92fs's. i actually prefer the cougars over the 92 series myself.. but that's just my preference. unfortunately i don't have a mini to compare, but the full sizes are great.

My buddy had a Beretta Cougar. Its a great pistol, very smooth. My GF shot it and fell in love with it. Looks like i'm going to have to buy one
