Picket up a S&W 27 4" today. It was a display piece so undoubtedly cocked and snapped a number of times but the finish except for the turn ring is beautiful.

Got it at a bit of a discount and filed for the SW 'thank you for your service' $30 rebate.

Current production so no pinned barrel or counter-sunk chambers and has the silly Hillary lock but sure looks purty and has a great SA and DA trigger pull.

I once owned a 28-2 4" that was NIB when I bought it but foolishly sold it off some time ago. This one will stick around.

Going to the range next week to give 'er a try!

Nice score!!! My favorite .357's are the model 27/28 N frames!!!

It looks good to me. It looks like the old world craftsmanship they used to produce.
I think maybe the color, shine and style of the wood grip panels lets you know it's not really old though.

And the turn ring just means you don't have to be concerned about a perfect mint finish. So go out and enjoy it oh, it's a classic for sure (even with the Hillary safety).
