Once a handgun falls off the roster it can still get back on without the impossible microstamping requirement?Comment

Yes, once a handgun has been certified, it can be added back to the roster. It comes down to the fees being paid for it to stay on roster. In theory if Smith & Wesson and Ruger wanted to put their CA Models back on the roster, they could, they just have to pay the fees. They chose not to do that. FN Probably just didn't get the Paperwork in on time. This happens every year with at least one manufacturer.ShootSoCal Firearms & Training.

Actually Ruger did revive the LC380 back on to the roster after it had been off for some time.Yes, once a handgun has been certified, it can be added back to the roster. What has happened with FN is that it seems the guns will have new markings including a new Mfg name and Location. So they had to be listed as new roster additions, but they got a pass because they are otherwise the same guns.
Now what may be a stinker, is if the old listings (name/location) really don’t come back - that may mean the existing inventory of guns in circulation are not importable or able to be sold in anything but a roster exempt transaction. That would really suck.
I think we need to wait a month or so and let this all shake out, including the Charter Arms listings...Last edited by SkyHawk; 01-03-2019, 5:35 PM.Comment

I hope you are right! I bought one but couldn't DROS it because I had just DROS'd another handgun on Black Friday. I figured I would have plenty of time to DROS the Five Seven before the New Year. Well when I went to pick up the Black Friday gun they had messed up my paper work so I had to reDROS. So now I'm in limbo. I waited so long to get this gun and finally found a great deal. CA problems.Comment
