    CZ 75B SA Question

Can an accu-bushing be added to the CZ 75B SA?

Follow up: If so, does Cajun Gun Works do it or only CZ Custom? I ask because if I wanted an accu-bushing but want CGW parts, then that means shipping to two places?

Another follow up: Does CGW or CZC perform front and back strap checkering, other machine work, and coating?

Last question: Any SoCal pistolsmith that can do the above mods (including machine work)? Basically a custom CZ?

    Thanks and Happy Friyay!

I think Accu Bushing mod is only done by CZC. Cajun has another bushing called the 10 X. If you want the work done by CZC entirely, you could just ship it to one place. But if you want to use Cajun parts and CZC to do the Accu bushing, yes you will have to send it to two different shops. CZC will not install parts from other shops, only theirs or original parts from CZ. Cajun will install parts from CZC, but I do not think the Accu Bushing is available for another shop to install.

I am not aware of either doing any grip checkering. CZC can do frame mods such as grip reduction, but last I checked a couple of years back, their CNC machine was not yet set up for grip checkering. Maybe they do now.

Either place will do refinishing. last I heard, CZC will also send out your gun to third parties such as Fords refinishing

What's the cost for the bushing work and how much does it improve accuracy?

The improvement is in part a product of how tight the factory bushing is. Like a number of things with CZs it varies from pistol to pistol.

The CGW 10X is $60-$70 (optional hard chrome finish) and can be installed at home if one is up for it. It is a direct "drop in" replacement for the factory bushing.

The CZC Accubushing is $350.00 and must be done in shop. Resembles a 1911 bushing in form and function.

I have not seen allot of bench rest results for either option. While i have indulged in many of the CZ upgrade options i have not reached a shooting level where i have felt the need for a bushing upgrade. I picked up a 10X a while back to play with but i have yet to install it. It is more about the installation process than the potential accuracy gain for me. From what i have gathered if you are shooing at less than 10 yards it is unlikely that one would notice a difference, out past that distance it can become more apparent.

CZC does offer stippling of the front and back straps. CGW does not, but for my CZ, they were willing to ship it to APW Cogan for stippling. CGW then sent it to their Cerakote vendor afterwards. APW Cogan might offer some form of laser checkering as well.

Why would you upgrade the trigger on an SA? I thought it already came with an upgraded trigger.

Because CZ75b SA can definitely use a trigger job to have a nice SA trigger. That goes for all non premium CZs.

As they come out of the box, they are single action alright, but the triggers are between tolerable and sucky depending on your luck. Ask me how I know.

I am not aware of anyone local to SoCal. It seams like a good machinist could do it once the frame is stripped but i am quite out of my depth on this one.

Yes, removing the FPB leave a big hole inside the slide. Does not seem to effect anything though.
