    Everybody's favorite caliber .40 ~ kidding! kidding!

I always use 180gr but wanted to switch to lighter 165gr or 155gr.

Fotay owners, what's you ideal choice for Home Defense grain?

180 for home defense and 155 for range

Did you guys have to re-sight your handguns after switching? If yes, was POI a tad off?

POI is closer to a 9mm at longer distances. It's about the same out to 10-yards or so. It is the same when switching between 115 to 124 9mm. The heavier grain will typically hit higher. How much will vary on a number of factors.

I like 165, but it lacks the pop that you normally feel from 180.

My 40s all shoot well with 165s.

The best “40 caliber” bullet is in a 10mm configuration. ‘Nuff said.

Is it because it's louder, snappier?
