STAR Model BM question

Did Star ever fix the issue with their firing pins breaking. Earlier models had this issue but I was wondering about the BM Series. Does that series STILL have the firing pin breakage issue?

Been thinking about picking one up, several places have them on sale.

Was looking at classic's offerings until I noted they had been altered and refinished, the Police emblems on the slide and frame have been removed then the area reblued. As a shooter grade it might be interesting but there maybe some commercial offerings popping up here and there that haven't been altered. Had they left the original markings intact I'd be more interested, apparently the exporter/importer require removal of the Police Emblems.

Thanks for the info, I did have several Stars of various models, all C&R's. Was looking to their newer models. Even had the "broken" firing pin issue with a Model B. A fella on the Spanish gun forum makes new firing pins for the Model B's. I was hoping to hear Star had addressed the issue with their earlier models and modified their later models.
There seem to be a number of Star model available BM at decent prices, currently that is. The extra functioning mags might be an issue though.
I like the size of the Star BM. But don't want to be chasing parts that aren't available.
