Just an FYI for those with an M&P in 40 S&W - Brownells now has in stock S&W factory M&P 4.25" barrels in 357 Sig. Cost is $69.99 for those with a C&R FFL, few $$ more for those without. Should be a straight drop in for those with a 40 S&W slide set up.

The 357 Sig uses the same mags as the 40 S&W.

No, but Remsport makes a 357 Sig barrel for the M&P Shield 40. The also make a 9mm conversion barrel. They make them in standard, ported, threaded, and CA compliant. I just ordered one. You can find them here.

I just checked the roster. It looks like there are 2 Shield 40s on the roster. Take a look for yourself at the DOJ website. You should be in luck.
