    Double Action fatigue?

Took my 686+ out for the first time yesterday. shot 50 rounds of 38, and 25 rounds of 357.

I have a tendon repair in my trigger finger, and was having a bit of an issue with the double action pull towards the end of the session.

Any good ways to build strength/stamina outside of the range?
    Looking for a 3" Magnum 870 $200-$250ish

I like Gripmaster Pro, you can buy them in different weights. You may get better price on eBay.

Cheap sponge ball a little bit smaller than a tennis ball. Squeeze, release, repeat....

When you get stronger get a firmer ball.

How about a no-cost option: dry fire practice.

Therapy Putty works great, I rehabbed my left index finger with it many years ago.

Yup. Dry fire with something that has the heaviest trigger you can manage without hurting yourself. Like any weight training, trigger finger practice should stop before you hit any pain.

If you only have one gun, start with one or two repetitions in the morning, and another one or two in the evening. After a few days, add another one or two repetitions. You should be able to handle a good range session after a month or so.

If you have another gun with a lighter trigger, do 30 or so good dry practices per day.

Don't skip looking down the sights and focusing on the front sight. Treat it as if it was live-fire. It goes without saying, but of course, also follow all the safety rules like not having any ammo nearby.

Rehab works best with low resistance and increasing reps.

                Rubber band.

Hook it over your week side thumb, then loop your trigger finger inside and pull against the resistance. You can vary resistance by changing the distance between your hands or by adding another rubber band.

Pull until you begin to feel fatigued.

Then, switch and train your weak side trigger finger while you rest.

Fill it full of snap caps and practice while you watch TV.

Go ahead and put imaginary slugs into whoever you want on TV. Practice aiming at the same time.

I started squeezing a rubber ball as a teen. Eventually worked up to a wax ball. I rarely meet anyone who has a stronger grip and I'm close to 60.

^^^This. I gave the wife a rubber ball to squeeze about a year aqo. 100 squeezes per hand plus 100 with thumb and 100 with index. She no longer has slide issues and can now shoot my .40 and 10mm.

We already have the only reasonable Gun Control we need, It's called the Second Amendment and it's the government it controls.

Yep. Just wait until Acosta, Pelosi, Schumer, or Newscum come on the screen and start exercising that trigger finger. Pretend that you are Jerry Miculek and see how many reps you can do in three seconds. Switch between stong hand and weak hand.

Use your other hand between sets.
