G21. No offense. That being said, the G29sf is a comfortable 10mm launcher.

      I think bears need a S&W .500.

I've got a G20SF (Fullsize 10mm) and a G21SF (Fullsize .45 ACP). The .45 is cool and all, but the 10mm is more fun. I only shoot handloads in the 10mm and I shoot it less often than the .45 because chasing 10mm brass is not fun.

I think if you are considering a 10mm at all, you should get one. All I use mine for is shooting steel plates, but I consider it a perfectly acceptable reason to own one

For 10mm, G29 would be my choice only if EDC was an option. Otherwise, for 10mm, a G20SF would be my recommendation. You can also use Buffalo Bore Hardcast in .45, if you went in that direction, and were worried about critters or woods/camping defense.

I'm so confused. Do you want a 21 (45 acp) or a 20/29 (10mm)? Cause you mention all of them. And I mean, I guess it really doesn't matter because the obvious answer here is, of course... "GET ALL OF THEM!"

Hey, we are NOTHING here if not enablers!

But if this is a "which one should I get first" thread we can discuss the natural order of things...probably 21 first followed by 20/29 (get your preferred size first over the other one)...and given that you don't have a pressing bear issue.

If you really do mean which of the three, the .45 is certainly a bit more practical with respect to the price/availability of ammo. But if you're thinking about the Glock 21...and if the roster isn't a limiting factor...you should at least look at and try to rent/shoot the M&P. The 4 inch version (G19 size) of that gun is all kinds of awesome and especially with an Apex trigger in it. But in the interest of full disclosure, I really am an M&P fan over Glocks.

But also, since it doesn't appear that you have a .45 yet, I think that caliber is a little more practical...first...before a 10mm. So perhaps 1911 first...then the G21...then the G20...then the G29. You see how I turned this into a FOUR GUN purchase? Like I said...ENABLERS!

            You're Welcome.

I've wanted a 10mm for a long time now, just can't justify the extra caliber.

G41 is a much better shooter.

I think this is what really got me all hot n bothered for the G21: the 10mm conversion barrel. I’m fixated on the G29 because the ability to use .40 is enough of an economic factor to hold out on the .45 for now.

Thanks, L84CABO - that is EXACTLY what I need to hear!

I guess, ultimately I just wanna bigger gun, 9mm just isn’t cutting it for me

Get 1911 45acp or maybe a Ruger 45 Colt revolver for bears or something.

G21 is a native .45 that can be converted to 10mm (I think).

                          G20 is a full sized native 10mm.

                          G29 is a small sized native 10mm.

SF is Slim Frame (hope I got that right) but it's still pretty beasty compared to 9mm.

                          I'd only get at G29 if I were carrying, otherwise a G20 (I have the gen4 G20).

If you shoot a home invader with a 10mm gun, you'll give the D.A. prosecuting you a present. He'll portrait you as a gun-crazy maniac who used the -- very rare -- biggest and most deadly cartridge known to man available in a hand gun. He'll point out that even the FBI uses 9mm and the highly trained SWAT teams on occasion .45ACP, but 10mm . . . that's just as crazy as the guy who pulled the trigger and shot that poor man who by mistake entered your house.

It's not much different from somebody who is carrying concealed and finds himself engaged in a situation where he needs to use his firearm.

Go big or go home. I would go with the G20SF with an extra 6" barrel for hunting! You will be able the shoot the 40S&W(40 short & weak)too.
