        An absolutly excellent choice...

Patience is all I can advise...I found an M9-A1 here, and an L, also in 9mm, in the Handguns section of the Equipment Exchange on arfcom, which is where you should haunt, daily. They're out there and both of mine are awesome guns...

There is a Steyr pistol forum, but I lost the link...google should find it. Customer service is outstanding...but imo they need just a little more marketing.

hth and report back when you score one.

Mike, hope you and family have a peaceful Thanksgiving. I don't think my enthusiasm for Idaho will pass until I pass. Thanks for the post...and when are you coming up here? No snow yet this year, but some is predicted maybe down to 3000 feet this weekend.

OP pm'd me as to whether he could buy an out of state off-roster pistol and have it shipped to an FFL in CA...if you know the legalities or lack of same, can you pm the OP and let him know?

              Steve

                Steve,

Our plan is to stock the fridge & pantry and lock the damn doors!
We'll have a couple stragglers dropping by but mellow is the rule.

Just picked the wife up a "new to us" suv. The time to come visit just got moved up! This state can be too much to take at times. I look forward to sharing your enthusiasm and the taste of freedom. We'll definitely be in touch after the holidays. Hope you and yours have a great one.

Back on topic, in my inbox this morning was a great new article on the Steyr L9-A1: https://www.gunsamerica.com/digest/steyr-l9-a1-review/

Good read and I couln't agree more. Last IDPA match of the year is Sunday and I'll be running the M9-A1 against all the Glocktards. Wish them luck

Have a great week hanko- and good luck again to RACERX on finding one.
                Regards,
                Mike

He cannot do this legally unless it is an intra-family gift from Mom, Dad or Son/Daughter. They buy out of state and send to his FFL here as a gift. Treated just like an internet dealer transfer. Others with more knowledge will fill in any gaps but that is how I understand the process.

                  Regards,
                  Mike

Try river of guns. They aggregate sales posts.
