Ruger Security Six prefix 150 value

Hello all. I was thinking about selling my Ruger Security Six. Its a 6 inch barrel and is the early model low back (prefix 150). Anyone have an idea on average price?

Depends a lot on condition. What finish does it wear? $350-$500 is generally what they go for.

Its the blued model. And its decent condition. No mechanical issues and shoots great. Just has holster wear on parts of the finish

I don't think the earlier models go for more unless new or near new with box and not sure if they get that much of a premium anyhow. Finding grips for them can be problematic.

yeah, they need to be numbered above 150, 151-xxx+ for aftermarket grips (which they need)

I have the Security six 4" numbered above 151 and have been offered $450 by a gun store so its "retail" value is likely more. IDK if the 150's get as much...or more $

Why not post it for sale here? Blue book it's value and see what offers you get?

Don't you lose 25-30% off the top with consignment sales?
I would think you would do better to post it here, in the Marketplace, price it high and see what people offer.
