Interesting range drill with Glock, simulated injuries

I believe this is in Poland. Talk about having a bad day! Injured plus jammed gun drill.

Taking it to the extreme...but at least it makes you think about it.

The hunting guide in Wyo that was recently killed by a G bear shows what happens when you don't think these things through.

There were plenty of mistakes made when the guide and his client rode back in to recover an elk the hunter arrowed the night before.

The guide had a can of bear spray...and a Glock in his saddle bag that was loaded but on a dead chamber.

Bear charges grabbing the hunter [not very vigilant, eh?] and the guide comes to the rescue spraying the bear. Now the bear is fighting the guide and the guide is yelling to the hunter to shoot him with the Glock.

Well this hunter doesn't have any experience with the Glock....AND no instruction by the guide. The hunter is pulling the trigger but the gun isn't firing.

Somehow the hunter ejects the mag in the process. Finally the guide says throw me the gun...which the hunter does....unloaded and without the mag.

The hunter gets out of there with the guide still fighting.....of course the guide died.

We can piece together what happened by the evidence at the scene and the hunters comments.

So the above training vid....planning for something to go wrong doesn't sound so far fetched to me.......

Interesting that the instructor poured fake blood on him to add realism...I guess sticky or wet slippery hands and equipment.

This drill is most realistic when using Glocks due to self-injuries from those frequent negligent discharges.

What will happen if you get injured on your shooting hand and can't grip the Glock tightly when you shoot? You'll probably get one shot off and then FTE from limp wristing.

Yes. Only thing they needed to add was the guy that shot you in the arm and the leg is still shooting at you.

I've done similar drills. It's great practice to keep the mind thinking under stress. In my opinion that was too many malfunctions though.

Ya seriously, after the first 60 seconds or so of trying to make the friggin pistol work, I'd probably just pull a John Wick:

Settle down, folks. The new "ghost gun" regulations probably don't do what you think they do.

Not a drill for a safe queen and BBQ gun.

My son practices stuff like this. One hand loading/racking and left handed. He uses his rear sights against his belt or front pant pocket to rack

He spends a lot of time in wilderness solo and wants to be able to use the pistol if he falls and is injured or bear attack.... good to have these skill sets
