    What's Your Favorite?

    What's your favorite handgun?

Not your favorite color, not your favorite music, not who's your favorite child.
Not your favorite rifle, not your favorite shotgun...just which is your favorite handgun that you have previously, or do currently, own.

Only one, and for whatever reason you deem to be appropriate. Most reliable, best defense, most fun to shoot or just the prettiest. Whatever floats your boat.

Mine changes, OFTEN. Currently though I think it's the Desert Eagle in .357...that thing is just too much fun! Nevermind me though, how about you? Which one currently holds the top spot?

Not trying to appear ostentatious however in response to the post.

Mr. Bruce Gray once built for me a 9mm 1911 with an absolutely gorgeous welded on magwell, hand checkered with perfect tiny pyramids which were comfortable and grippy. An integrated compensator that yielded perfect balance and enhanced prolonged range time use. The overall fit was immaculate and precise with a trigger to die for. The elegant and uniquely integrated grip safety ensured reliable activation. Adjustable target sights made life easy for my maturing eyes and grips that fit my hand like a glove. It cycled like a dream and had no sharp edges anywhere yet maintained sharply demarcated contours. If i could only keep one pistol in my collection, this would be the one.

We loved it so much that Mr. Gray was kind enough to build a very similar 1911 in .45acp for my Father. One day if all goes well i'll have an HK P7 longside to complement this collection.

probably my Glock G21 SF , it's my most reliable night stand gun, something I know I can depend on for Home Defense

all stock, still has the factory plastic sights, no aftermarket parts

I trust the Glock more than I trust my M1911A1

simplicity / reliability / light weight / weather resistant / ease of maintenance

I do believe that, where there is only a choice between cowardice and violence, I would advise violence... I would rather have India resort to arms in order to defend her honour than that she should, in a cowardly manner, become or remain a helpless witness to her own dishonor. -- Mahatma Ghandi

                          There ain't a close second: 1911-A1 .45 ACP.

Just in, these are some of the nicest 1911's available.  This is the 1911 designed for and used by the FBI HRT/SWAT teams.  It features Novak night sights, Blac

This gun ^^^ did what Bill Wilson said no handgun could do, which is why a lotta folks think it's the best 1911-A1 on the market.

One of Brian Chaney's creations at Nighthawk Customs, my Predator II.
Looks beautiful and functions like a fine Swiss watch.

I just sit here nodding my head. I love them all thus I understand the reasoning behind all. Quiet a few mentioned that I'd like to add to the collection. Keep 'em coming!
