I have a nice old Smith & Wesson revolver chambered in .32 s&w long... This ammo is not easy to find, it seems that .32 auto ammo fits perfectly in the gun, however they are not as long as a .32 s&w long... Has anybody heard of someone shooting .32 acp out of .32 s&w long?? Seems like it would be about the same as shooting .38 out of a .357 magnum... But ain't no way i'm about to be the first to try it. Thanks!

The acp is a higher pressure cartridge and I wouldn't advise it. I do it in my .32 magnums with no issue but they are a much higher pressure round.

I have seen people shoot .32 revolver rounds in a semiauto pistol and 32 auto rounds in a revolver. Is it safe ? I don't know. I have fired both ways for tests and it seemed to work okay, but never had sustained fires.
