    CZ 2075 Rami in 9mm & .40 S&W, any problems

Anyone have experience with the CZ 2075 Rami in 9mm and/or .40 S&W? I do not have any firearms in .40 S&W, would have to be fairly special or highly recommended.

Been looking hard at the SIG Sauer P938 and wondering if the CZ 2075 might be a better fit. Have handled a CZ 75 Compact and like it a lot but it's a bit heavy. The Compact is great for the range and general fun shooting just wish it where a little smaller and lighter.

    Thanks

I have shot the CZ RAMI in 9mm and did not like how my pinky hangs off the frame. I purchased the P01 instead because it felt a lot better in my hands. Its only about a 2 oz difference between the P01 (28.1 oz) and the RAMI (26.9oz).

I bought one, then I replaced the floorplate of the magazines for a full hand grip.

Very reliable, accurate, solid. It's a small CZ 75.

Thicker and heavier than other mini 9's, it had SA/DA and no LCI or magazine disconnect.

I like mine and prefer it to a 938 at this point.

If you find the 75 compact heavy, the Rami would feel heavy too. It is a small but heavy one.

I would not even think of .40 cal in a small gun like Rami. It is comfortable to shoot in 9mm but not in .40. And, grip is too short for medium to large size hands.

I have a CZ Rami in 9mm. It's a well-made gun. It doesn't feel heavy to me. It is kind of chunky, but I think that a thinner grip would only make it harder to grip and shoot. I had a heck of a time finding good sights for it, it has different sight cuts than other CZs so few sights will work with it. My pinky does curl under the butt of the pistol, but the short grip feels alright to me.

My advice: Give serious consideration to the CZ P-01, Compact and PCR. If you find that you can comfortably carry a compact instead of a subcompact, you will probably shoot better and have fewer problems. CZ P10 might also work well, but I haven't seen one.

I never shot a RAMI but I did handle one at the LGS, and was surprised how thick and heavy it was.

You can get a different floor plate for the mags to get a better grip, but they are still pretty small unless you have small hands.

I didn't like the feel of it in my hands, and went with the P-01 instead.

The CZ 75 Compact w/ safety is sweet, but a bit on the heavy side. Should dampen recoil well.

I have a couple thousand rounds through a box stock RAMI 9mm and the only problem I have had was when I used a standard sized 17 round mag in it and it miss fed. I think my pinky was pushing on the mag causing a miss alignment and miss feed. Not one problem with the mags designed for it.

Not sure where you are, but 2A Zone has both in stock, if you are in the socal area the best bet is to just check them out side by side! I personally like the compact better, I don't mind that it's a little bigger and it fits my hand nicely.
