Well check completed auctions on Gunbroker and then tack on a CA premium. You can't ask too much more though due to SAE exemption loophole.

People are completely irrational about Colt revolvers, so you can easily get double it's true worth is based on availability.

My friends and family disavow all knowledge of my existence, let alone my opinions.

Op I bought a brand new Colt King Cobra bright stainless back in the early 90’s, out the door it was right around $420.00. Over the years I shot it a fair amount, I sold it in 2011 for $800.00. No box, no papers, while it was in good shape it had normal shooting wear, so not in pristine condition. And even back then people told me I under sold it, I thought heck I about doubled my money on it and it’s really not that great of a gun anyway. Bought a stainless 686 about the same time, I still got that one. It was a much better gun then the Colt was.

Needless to say your gonna get good money for it, but do your homework. I have no idea what the current pricing is on them, but if you offer it for a fair price, it will sell fast.

A quick search showed several up for bid opening bids seem to range between $1300-1800ish, all seemed to have original box and papers. Follow the bids and see how they end and go from there.
