Magna for 60-7

I bought my S&W Model 60-7 in 1994 from B&B in Westminster. They only had one with the Uncle Mike Rubber stocks. Although I've always preferred the magna stocks I got it anyway and have used it with them since.

Found these pristine older J frame magnas at a local gunsmith for $30 with the stainless screw. The rubber U Mike's lefta bunch of stuck on residue easily removed with Hoppes and Remoil.

Looks a lot more like a Smith now. A Model 60-7 .38 spl doesn't need any cushioning

If it doesn't fill your hand try adding a Tyler T grip adapter.
A brushed silver adapter would look sweet!

I just got a Model 64-8 that I'm going to add some magnas and the same grip adapter to.

My hands are small so the J Frames were perfect. The magna grips better. Size wise and appearance wise. I have a Colt Police Positive .38 Special from 1956. D Frame. A little larger but still ok. My dad gave me his Smith Model 10 1959. Blued, Magna grips.. K frame. A bit big but I can manage it.[emoji4]

I found those wood grips new at Midway a few months ago... Changed out my md 60 j frame 2in houges to give them a try... Definitely the woods are better for pocket carry,, but the houges are better for 357 play... 38sp +p's ride up alittle bit more with the wood grips... If its going in my pocket the woods are it,,, but it's going back in my owb paddle holster so the houges are going back on...
