    L Frame grip suggestions needed

Just got a Smith 327 and do not like the thin rubber grip. I prefer thick grips without finger grooves on my other hand guns. Looking for a grip fitting this description for my N frame. Fishing around on the web doesn't seem to yield information about grip geometry, and I really want a grip that will fill my hand. Also need to leave room for the speed loader, and high durability is a requirement. Appropriate suggestions will be graciously appreciated.

Take a look at VZ grips. I really like them on my 627.

Altamont grips make some nice ones that aren't exorbitant in price.

I would say a lot depends on the type of ammo you will shoot. If you intend on shooting lots of heavy loaded magnum rounds, a rubber grip covering the backstrap of the grip will make the recoil less punishing.
If you aren't shooting heavy recoiling rounds there are many wood grips that look nice.

I have the Pachmayr presentation wood grips on my S&W M19, seems perfect to me; $20 at a gun show.

Thank you, a truly generous offer. Unfortunately I bounce between Irvine and Redondo incessantly. Would be difficult to fit in a trip to Temecula.

For a little more money, you can get Herrett to make you grips based on a tracing of your hand. Roper and Trooper styles look good on DA revolvers.

The House Mono-grip (1-peice) has been my go to grip for mysekf and several of my friends with hands much larger then mine, I would rate my hands as medium, I use an ML Glof glove.
