Better stock trigger? Sig P226 vs CZ 75 SP-01

Out of the box, which has a better trigger DA and SA pull? Other than the factory SRT installed, no CGW upgrades please

Please note if your answer entails having the Sig with the SRT installed or not. At my LGS, I really couldn't tell which is better.

IMO, the sig with SRT felt mushy from the wall to when it breaks. Little travel but not as smooth and crisp as the CZ and Beretta 92 (SA). But the short and audible reset on the Sig wins (with SRT), no doubt. Please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

Also, does the SRT lighten up the DA/SA weight on the Sig?

None of the above. I prefer Glocks.

I've never even fired a Sig, but the SA pull on my SP-01 is delightful. I don't have a lot of experience with different DA pulls, but it's nice and smooth for DA, although I rarely actually fire DA.

SIG hands down. I’ve handled a few with some odd creep, but by and large they are superior out of the box. However, in my opinion the CZ trigger can be improved more effectively and provides more options.

Find a P226 with a factory installed SRT and you’ll be stoked.

Well, if you are asking because you are buying one, consider what the POTENTIAL trigger can be. Out of the box, from my limited (extremely) experience, I'd pick the Sig. However, the CZ-75's with the competition hammers are quite nice.

Sig is much better out of the box.. CZ can be modified to be pretty damn nice though.

Sig OEM trigger is much better than CZ OEM trigger.

I've owned both, CZ75 trigger was horrid out of the box.

OP, you're comparing a $1K gun to a $650 gun so its not a fair comparison however, if you're willing to spend total of $1k on a handgun, then a $650 CZ +$350 CGW work will most likely blow the doors out of the Sig so keep this in mind.

The Sig has a better stock DA/SA trigger in my experience with owning a...

Out of all the DA/SA semi autos I've ever owned and shot, the best triggers were Sig.

Landslide favoring the Sig. I may be the only oddball who really likes the stock SP-01 trigger better. My bad for poor judgment lol.

Comparing P226 and CZ 75BD. SP-01 is SA with manual safety (not intended to be used in DA) so you can't really compare it against the P226 unless you use a P226 SAO.

I've found that the CZ trigger is too far forward in DA. Even after decocking to half-cocked, it is a bit better since some of the take up is "pre-loaded). CZ does have a seemingly lighter DA pull, but the requirement for additional LOP is not favorable to me.

Sigs tend to have very heavy DA triggers out of the box. I've shot Sigs since the start of my shooting career and am fine with them, but my preference is to swap the OEM hammer spring for an 18lb Wolff spring to lighten the DA pull.

Sig SRT outclasses the CZ in the reset category, but the SA pulls between the two are different for sure. The CZ seems to have a lighter break, but the Sig seems to have a more "solid" break; it feels like an all metal pistol.

Dunno, I've owned at least 5 CZ's of all sizes and variations, but I've always sold them off. They just never really fit me as well as the P226 and P229 series. Oddly enough, I prefer the G-10 grip with standard, "thick" trigger over the E2 style and thin trigger.

DA and SA is better out of the box on the P series Sigs, but the CZ’s aren’t bad by any means. I’m not saying that because I’m a Sig guy, I’m just stating a fact, while I did own a few in the past today I own none. While I do own 4 CZ’s, this morning I shot my 75b and SP01. I prefer the ability to use the CZ’s cocked and locked over the decocker of the Sigs.

But for the poll I selected the Glock option.
