Springfield XD grip improvement

I have the following modifications lined up, to improve my grip.

1. Freedomsmith Fat Daddy flat trigger

2. Trigger guard undercut

Should hopefully have them done in the next 3-4 weeks, depending on gunsmith availability.

I have medium sized hands, but the pad/close to the joint of my trigger finger falls a little short on the first pull.

Freedomsmith claimed their trigger will only reduce the travel and not affect the pull weight. I've found a youtube video of someone using their same trigger, and showing it reduced the trigger reach/distance by roughly 4-6mm.

Just posting this in case any other XD owners have similar issues, since there isn't much online about it .

I have that guys old discontinued flat face trigger. I notice the shorter reach mostly on the end, a little bit up top and the middle. I can take a pic when I get home tonight

Trigger should arrive today, and the local gunsmith said it would be around 2-3 weeks. I won't be able to deliver it until the weekend.

I put a set of tractiongrips.com on my xd9.

I never had a problem with the oem grip, but why not?

I have the same ones, but the rougher granulate texture from Talon Grips felt really nice on my friends Glock. The Traction grips were free and they're good, but not what I thought they'd be.

Talon grips work great. Took mine off after the first of a four day class as they worked too well and were wearing a hole on my hand.

Well, accidentally used slow shipping to XDMan to get new sights put on (Night Fision), so it'll be at least 2 weeks until I get the XD slide back.

Should still be around 2-3 weeks to have the gunsmith work on it...I already miss my gun.
