    EFK Fire dragon barrels

I've been looking at Fire Dragon barrels for my XD Tactical. I'm new to .40 caliber, would a ported barrel have much effect? I am used to a low pressure round like .45, where a compensator does not help very much. Also how are the Fire Dragon barrels? Are they good quality, and are they drop in. Thanks!
The "best" handgun caliber debate rages on, meanwhile I just keep buying low recoil 00 buck.

I have one on my G17 and it works well (drop in). I also got the double recoil spring and with the compensated barrel it wouldn't cycle at times. I used just the compensated barrel with the stock spring, and stock barrel and double recoil spring and no problems with function. Effect? well it felt lighter to me... I did have to polish the feed ramp as well. I also have one on my 40, but in 357 sig, no problems as well. I have heard of issues with EFK, but I'm happy. Did you check Bar-sto? http://www.barsto.com/category_main.cfm?ID=XD&cco=63 They are a little more money but they are very nice.

I have the firedragon 9mm conversion for my XD 40. I have only had it a few weeks and have only put about 300 rounds through it but so far so good. Not a single FTF or FTE and it's more accurate than I am. It was drop-in and I have not changed any springs. I did grab some 9mm mags though.
