    1911 Barrel Bushing

Hey Calguns, looking for a black barrel bushing to swap out the stainless one on my MC Operator. Just want to have it all Black and OD.

Bought a Wilson one but didn't do enough research and got the one that requires working it to size 29B. Not sure if I want to try and do that yet or if anybody knows of one to fit.

    Thanks in advance.

Yea I've done my research on what it would take to work it. But I'm not sure I want to just because theres that chance I mess it up and might create a bigger problem.

I've had great experiences with the EGW angle bore barrel bushings. If you call George the proprietor he will customize dimensions for you....at a very small additional expense. You have to measure the internal dimension of the slide and the outer dimension of the barrel.

Harrison Custom (https://shop.harrisoncustom.com/barrel-bushings) also has terrific bushings. You might wish to look at their options as well.

Why not just paint original? No bushing on my TRP Operator but the MC is very good looking. If I have my way I might acquire one.

I wonder why SA issues stainless bushings with their current park/blue 1911's?
My MilSpec came with a parkerized bushing. But I bought it way back.

I'm glad my SA came with the SS bushing. It was a PITA to get it out the first time, it had to be pried out. It was the park on the slide that made it so tight. A bit of twisting with some lube polished the park down so you can get it out without a tool.
