Glock problem

Need some help with my glock 19. I can't pull the slide back on it, and the trigger is stick in the "pulled" position. I can pull the slide forward and remove it. Any idea what is wrong with it? Sorry I can't post pictures, I just moved and don't have internet access at home yet.

The slide will only go back about a 1/4", but yes the slide comes off the normal way.

Need to probably remove the striker or the trigger assembly and check it out. At least you can field strip it. Drift out those pins and pull that trigger assembly out...but find some online videos of how to do that if you're not familiar.

Sounds like the recoil spring assembly may have jumped out of the recess on the barrel.

Here's a side view of the slide - the spring should sit down in the half-moon indent in the barrel.

Is the guide rod sticking out farther than usual once you pull the slide onto the frame?
