Just replace the trigger. Attaching or replacing shoes is not as easy as it seems.
As in, you can get a flat trigger and fit into your milspec.
Make sure to get the length of the trigger that you find most comfortable. They come in Short, Medium and Long.

Modifying a ccw pistol is certainly walking on thin ice, particularly in California.

Just need to call and ask the county ccw issuing department to find out what modifications are allowed. Some are pretty lenient some are not. But it definitely varies county to county.

What are you trying to achieve with a new trigger? Finger placement? Smoother pull? Length of trigger shoe (short, med or long)? The bow and shoe do need to be fit. Can also change the feel of the trigger based on how it interacts with the other parts.
