Smith 610

A few months ago I picked up an older Smith 610 (no MIM) with combat grips, 6.5" bbl and someone on the site e-mailed me with an "if you ever want to sell it let me know".

I'm not selling, but I did see the exact, same gun at another shop - grips included - but I can't for the life of me find the thread or web name of whoever PM'd me. I'd probably recognize the web name - if anyone's interested, PM me for info.

You're right - now I remember. Glad to know I still have a few brain cells on active duty.

Anyway, if anyone's interested, Castro Valley has the older 610 for $600.00 and it looks like new. It's been sitting in their back room for a bit and they figured it would be a slow seller. I was a bit surprised to hear that but I suppose it is a bit of a niche market gun.

It's probably a little slower selling these days since S&W put them back on the safety list. Much easier to find now if you don't mind a newer one.

I'd be tempted to get another but I'm sort of hoping the Nightguard 310 will be released soon as well. Not sure how many 10mm revolvers I need. ;-)
