Hey everyone. I'm interested in putting a gun up for consignment and I was jsut wondering is there anything I need to have prepared besides the standard paperwork that goes with any handgun transaction with an FFL?

Instead of letting the dealer take a cut of your firearm price, put it up for sale here at Calguns. Then when you have a buyer schedule a meet at your closest FFL to do the transfer.
Why give your money to someone else, when you could very well get your buyer here?

Yeah I like the calguns system, I've done business on it before. However I was just interested in seeing what consignment sales were all about. I see them in stores all the time. The "best" handgun caliber debate rages on, meanwhile I just keep buying low recoil 00 buck.Comment

Anywhere from 10-20%
Depending on the dealer.
No reason to not use Calguns again then.
Consignment sales will not make you more money than you can yourself here.

I called two places today just to see how much they take from consignment guns. Turners wants 25% and Gun World in Burbank wants 35%. What a rip.Comment
