Ok here's a long shot.
My cousin is a retired CHP officer, he carried as his Duty weapon a 6" Stainless Colt Python, he believes the SN was 3920 or had 3920 in it, he remembers it because my father was a retired Capt. from the CHP, and my dads badge number was 3920.
He traded it off over 20 years ago in the Porterville area, he recently called the man he traded it too and asked if he still had it and he said he sold it 20 yrs ago.
He wants to buy another Python the same as he carried, but if some one happened to possibly own his gun, he'd be very interested in buying it. If he cant locate it, most likely not, he'll just find another one.
