any leftie has a Sig 226?

any left handed shooter held a 226, and felt there is a little nub on the upper left hand side of the grip? It feels like it is a thumb rest for right handed shooter. I looked online and found no threads about it, nor any "left hand specific grip" replacement available. So I wonder is it just me who felt it, or that nub thingie is going to be there regardless of grip replacements.

I have never had issues with the original grips on my 226. I have smaller hands and got a set of the E2 grips. Much better than the originals for me, seems more ambidextrous.

Don't own, but shot a couple, did not notice anything. Will check next time.

Try shooting a Makarov, that lanyard ring is really annoying. (I bought Marschal grips)

Are you referring to the flare on the left grip panel that shields the slide lock and de-cocking levers?

Yup, that isn't a thumb rest. It is there to shield the Slide lock and decocking levers

I have a west German and a CA Mk25. My sons a lefty and never had any issues shooting it other than the decocker being on the wrong side.

Lefty's and Sigs actually work to our advantage sometimes. We won't ride the slide stop by accident.
