What is the Sig P320's trigger system called...

I, and some other folks in my dept are looking to get the SIG P320 added to our policy as an approved duty weapon. There isn't any pushback on the idea, but the policy does need to specify the "system" or "type" of trigger the gun has. I'm am not sure what the technical or trademarked term would be for SIG's P320 pistol line.

For example, our policy states Glock "Safe Action" or H&K "LEM" trigger systems are allowed (granted the other parameters are in compliance).

I've been told that this is how the policy needs to be written...
    1.Brand (Glock, H&K, Sig, etc)
    2. Semiautomatic
    3. Calibers permitted (9mm, .40, .45)
    4. Sights (Fixed or replaceable night)
    5. Trigger type (ie SA/DA, DAK, Safe Action, LEM etc.
    etc. etc.

So before I go so far as to call SIG with the same question...or try tooverhaul the pistol policy (or just forget about it), I thought I'd throw this out to you guys.

Does SIG have a specific name for their trigger system in the P320 line?

According to Sig's website, the trigger system is "striker"

I saw that...i thought it referred to the general "striker fire" system. But I'll roll with that. Thanks.

Those are all marketing terms if you think about it. But, I suppose you can't go wrong with "striker" if that what the website says.

The Sig trigger in the 320 is a safe trigger for a striker fired gun in that it does not require you to pull the trigger to remove the slide like a Glock and most other striker fired guns. No Glock leg with this striker fired gun.
I'd agree with you but then we'd both be wrong...

Completely wrong. The morons who give themselves Glock leg do so because they don't get enough training with either holsters, weapon handling, or both. "Glock leg" has nothing to do with pulling the trigger to remove the slide.
