    22lr for P226

Is there a difference between the 22lr Mosquito and the Conversion kit for the 226? I see that the price is about the same.

The big difference between the Mosquito and the Conversion Kit is that the Mosquito will likely jam and fail to perform your expectations 95% of the time whereas the conversion kit is will satisfy your expectations and perform like a SIG product should.

What Domokun said, but with the addition that the Mosquito will not handle the same as a P226 with conversion kit.

The conversion kit will be a much better choice if you want to take advantage of the cheaper .22lr cartridge to train with your primary go-to gun, wheras the Mosquito is good for plinking and practicing malfunction drills.

        +1

The conversion slide is a much better made, better shooting and more reliable unit then the Mosquito ever was. I sold my Mosquito after being so impressed with my conversion.
