Glock OD: What Cerakote Color for the Slide?

I'm having second thoughts now that I found out that my slide has a Diamond-like carbon (DLC) coating.

How tough is Cerakote compared to DLC?

These pics are making me revisit the idea of painting my 19. The FDE and burnt bronze combo is money!

I got bored tonight and put the Scorpion slide next to the Glock. Like most say, Glock's OD is more of a FDE shade than green. I think I will be going with FDE having a slight two tone look...

I voted for Burnt Bronze. Full disclosure: I am biased because I just had my Glock 19 cerakoted in that color.



It does change in color depending on the light. Indoors it almost looks OD to me, but get it out into the sunlight and it pops.

I think it looks pretty nice just the way it is. Don't mess with perfection.
