    Walther P88

I have a Walther P88 with a single factory magazine. P88 specific factory magazines are a bit on the expensive side. I'm being told Walther P99 (and SW99 too) magazines work but can't verify. Does anyone know if 99 magazines will work in the P88?

You can retro fit Beretta 92 magazines . Google is your friend.. learn to use it...

I heard the gen 1 mags are a direct fit. My understanding however is beretta mags work with little modification

I know about the Beretta 92 magazine modification. Don't really want to buy and cut on a mag for a gun I don't own and can't use if I screw it up, although the cut seems simple enough. S&W Model 59 magazines can be modified, already have those for my Marlin Camp 9. So if it's "break out the dremel" time I could work on them.

Interesting. Never heard of some of the above suggestions, but it never really mattered. Had plenty of the originals, but good to hear of this.

I tried the mod on a Smith 59 mag. Very easy as the cut out is on the corner of the mag body as opposed to the side. Dremel zips through quickly and cleans up nicely. The top of the mag front on each is the same, makes measuring easy.

Did you want to try my p99 mags? I have a few.

(I’m just trying to find a reason to handle your p88 hahaha)
