PPT Issue

I went to turners to ppt a Glock 19 I found on a site, and it was a really good deal. Unfortunately they didn't take any of the 2nd forms of identification I had at the time.

I had to reschedule another meet with the seller and were trying to get this transaction done with.

Im kind of in a pickle now, I have a vehicle that is registered under my name, which I heard is valid as a residency valid form of ID. But the address is off by only one number in the zipcode. The address and everything else is correct.

How likely is it that they will not accept my registration, my id last digit on zipcode is 4 and my registration is a 3.

Example: 00003(REG) 00004(CA/ID)

Zipcode off by a number might be okay, but call and ask. It would be in your interest to try and find a different supporting document. I feel you- I move around a lot and that one has proved to be a massive pain in my ***.

I was told by a turners gun employee that the car registration technically would be taken as my address and I guess 'override' my id zipcode.

I clarified and said my id zipcode is off by one number would everything still be valid and she said yes. So tomorrow I hope everything goes good.

The issue is I still live with my parent, and I don't pay utilities or any government bills besides student loans. I don't drive or have a license, the car is registered to me and my parent, but I don't drive it my parent does.

So literally the only 2nd form of ID that they would consider valid that I can get is my car reg.

From my experience if anyone has s problem with your veh reg being only one zip number off it's Turners. You said you found the Glock on "a site". If it's not exclusively at Turners I'd also try a different ffl.

Was just about to say the same thing, I've done purchases and PPTs from Ammo Bros, Rifle Gear, Gun Effects, Guns Direct, Turner's, and multiple pawn shops. Out of them all, Turner's would be the only ones I see being strict with 1 digit in the zip code off. I know the girl said over the phone they'll be ok, I hope it is and works out for you, just don't be surprised if the girl over the phone tells you one thing and you arrive to hear another. That being said, I still enjoy buying from Turner's and avoid the long lines be making time in the weekday.

Turners is always difficult to work with...

Due to the issue, I would probably try to find proof of the zipcode error and find a different FFL. Try the FFL forum here, those guys are pros

Just called rifle gear and he was saying it should be fine, the dmv makes mistakes alot and we see it from time to time. Aslong as everything else is correct it should be fine.

If you have trouble on Sunday (which I hope you don't) On Monday, go to your county's Voter Registrar.

Ask them for a copy of your Voter Registration Card. This will have your physical address. If you do this, be sure they stamp it with the county seal--this makes it official.

It cost me a whopping $2 in Tuolumne County for mine.

Use the rental agreement that you have with your parents, that you signed over 6 months ago. That's your proof of residency.
