    Pew-pew after work - 25-yards with a Glock 34 and a USP Expert 45

Top project in the office now ramping up (definitely a good thing at work)... However, it's back to the days of late days being the norm. Anyways, got home around 9pm and decided to head out to the local range just to relax!

Anyway, haven't shot live ammunition in about a month or so, and the itch was just unbearable! Brought out a Glock 34 and an H&K USP 45 Expert...

Here are my groups (target from 7- to 15-yards is a 2-inch circle / NRA target area is 5.5-inches):

    Glock 34

    H&K USP 45 Expert

Although I need to still work on my groups at 25-yards (aim to get within 5-inches), it is a definitely a FAR CRY from when I first started in firearms, with a Glock 22, 2-years ago.

That being said - the H&K USP 45 Expert is FREAKING accurate! After I try finding/verifying ZERO, it's like a tack driver at range.

^Must be La Puente Firing Range. Used to work there backin the late 90's. 11am to 11pm, 7 days a week back when I worked there. The owner was "generous" and we closed at 6pm on holidays.

          La Puente Firing Range: http://www.lpfr.com/home.html

They're quite expensive and quite picky/restrictive about almost everything and anything! Target size (to the point you need to buy THEIR targets), no shooting from a rest (say, when you want to zero), no RSOs, etc.

But for me, the PROS outweigh the CONS - 25-yards, it's only about 5-mins from my place, and they are open until 11pm (except for Sunday). If I visit late night on a weekday, I can avoid most of the crowds who are not very particular about safety.
