    Sight question

My colt commander 1911 was filthy after shooting 500 rounds. After a good cleaning, the little white dots on the factory sights were gone. Never had this happen with any other guns. Any suggestions? Im assuming I can use some paint to paint them back on.

    Thanks

I find the white dots to be a hindrance for accurate shooting, they're more for getting a fast acquisition in a tactical scenario. Target sights almost never have them...and if you want a HD/tactical gun, it should have a light or at least some tritium sights, or better yet a laser. I'm not telling you not to paint them back on, just suggesting that you try shooting without them for a while and see how you like it.

Use white out or white model paint and dip it into the little circular holes.

Great thing is, you can scrape the white paint out and choose your color. How about florescent orange?

        Thanks

Ill try shooting with no color. I do like the idea of the bright orange dots as well - AKA - CalTrans Gun!!!
