    Springfield XD trigger upgrade

Been shooting my XD regularly, and though its trigger is fine, and I could get used to it, I think i would prefer a trigger with a shorter uptake and reset.

Seems like the obvious choices are the PRP Match and Drop in triggers.

Anyone with experience with both able to explain why one over the other? On their site the pull weights seem to be around the same.

What do i get with the match vs drop in?

I have no experience with the match, but I have the drop in. I hated the weaker springs so I put the stock springs back in.

It helps with the over-travel, but still feels mushy. My factory Glock triggers feel considerably better IMO.

I installed the “drop in” on my subcompact XD, it’s a great upgrade. It’s not night and day like the apex trig on a m&p but definitely better than stock and worth it in my opinion. It does help with uptake and reset but there is still a little mushiness. Too bad it doesn’t come stock with a prp.

I have the Powder River drop in kit in my XDM. I really like it. Brownells has the kits for $105. Free shipping with code MCP.
